on facebook chat earlier, i had literally JUST finished typing “i want to be productive tonight, but i feel like i’m probably going to lay on my bed and watch law & order for a really long time ” when a friend of mine called to tell me that she had an extra REALLY GOOD seat for Wicked! and could i be at her house in an hour.

Well it’s day two of my vacation…the one good thing about my school getting out on December 23 is that the Christmas hustle is over and I still have two weeks of vacation left…and I foresee a lot of sitting around in pajamas and reading Jane Austen and books about the Sixties and Bob Dylan (books I got for Christmas, woo.)

So I’m teaching full time…and working at the restaurant on weekends…and I’m teaching a class on Saturday mornings…and I’m teaching an after school credit recovery class…and all I want to do during every spare second of my day is sleep. My district just posted an opening in English. I’m not sure what school it’s in, and it says Jr. High OR High School so I’m not sure the even know where the spot is yet, but I’m going to apply anyway. I would really really miss my school, but I would LOVE to have a contract.

Ha! Did not expect that!
Of course, I said yes, so tomorrow is my last day to sleep in and kids start next Monday. I’ll be planning like a madwoman. Can’t wait!
