i love: reading books, writing, teaching, listening to and talking with smart people, pop culture, young adult fiction, joan didion, aaron sorkin, dave matthews band, red wine, coffee, baseball and watching sports.

Academic Performance Index scores were announced this morning and our school gained 34 points, the largest gain in our district and more than our growth target.  I’m so proud to be a part of this staff and this school.  It really is one of the best kept secrets in the district.  When people say terrible things about the school that I call home, I just smile, because I know that there are teachers there who will go to the mat for the kids, and kids who show up and do work.
